Lindo

(from the earliest tales)

Lindo was a Noldorin elf of Tol Eressëa, the owner of the Cottage of Lost Play.
He lived in the cottage with his wife Vairë where they both entertained visitors from all over Eressea, including the hosting of the Man Ælfwine (Eriol) who visited there. He was wise and had a vaste knowledge of various things .

Lindo’s story is written in the earliest tales books (The Book of Lost Tales) which means that it is considered to be from J.R.R. Tolkien’s earlier, unrevised writings, so this information can’t necessarily be considered a canon.
