Emlin, the Yellow Bird

52321211The valley of Nanduhirion is konwn as the Dimrill Dale in Westron and Azanulbizar to the Dwarves. It is located directly outside the Eastern Gate to Moria at the foot of the Caradhras, Celebdhil and Fanuidhol peaks on the eastern side of the Misty Mountains. At the head of the vale is the Mirrormere, the lake in which Durin the Deathless saw stars during the day, which led him to found Khazad-dรปm – Moria. Its waters reflect stars in a night sky even during daytime. Kheled-zรขram is the name in Khuzdul. The river Silverlode (Celebrant in Sindarin) begins its course here, cascading down from the mountains forming the series of waterfalls known as Dimrill Stair. The region in elder days with all these wonders was a sight to behold, but in the Third age as the Shadow grows stronger, and the might of Moria is no more, Orcs have multiplied and begun to establish strongholds in the upper reaches of the vale.30894251The elves of Lorien, alarmed by the increasing orc activity, established settlements along the Nanduhirion, where the marchwardens keep an eye on the situation, and thin the orc ranks from time to time. This huntress is one of said marchwardens. Riding tirelessly up and down the vale, she is able to kill an orc in the blink of an eye. Her bow is her pride and joy, Emlin it is called in Sindarin, the Yellow Bird because of the particular color of the wood, and its wing shape. Light it is, and very flexible allowing the huntress to release quick volleys and precise shoot.12102881Time to return to normal posting schedule after Weatherstock! This is my absolute favorite bow in Lotro. It is a level 54 Third Age bow that I found a long time ago in the auction. The annoying glow of legendary items just enhances its beauty, and it is the absolute protagonist of this post. Thanks to Lalia’s market for providing a cosmetic version of the pvmp champion leggings XD The horse is Prized steed of the Helmingas, barter at kindred rep with Helmingas faction (west rohan). Despite being a rohirric mount, I think the intricate design and celtic knots can work nicely also for an elvish theme3464275405025360shoulders: Shield-master’s Shoulders, white dye, classic skirmish barter

  2. Oh that bow made my jaw drop!! I have never ever seen anything like it! ๐Ÿ™‚ Oh if I could get the hands of one of this for my main char, a huntress ๐Ÿ™‚

    • I checked the auction, and the same design is for both level 54 second and third age bows, 3rd agers have a higher drop rate so you may want to check AH regularly, i’m sure it will appear sooner or later ๐Ÿ™‚ and welcome to the blog!
