Dressing up for Harvestmath (bullroarer beta edition): Gorgoroth mace-bearer

there’s a lot, A LOT of new cosmetics coming with the War of the Three Peaks, all dwarven themed, though some of them, like the ensemble here look definitely more evil than dwarfish (I hope it’s not just me who thinks that XD). There’s plenty of controversy with the decision of making this quest region a “mini expansion” and I have my own criticism about it, but this post is not the place to talk about it. The gear I used comes from the new 12 man raid “Amdân Dammul, the Bloody Threshold”. This is the heavy set and wow does it look menacing. The head piece especially makes me think of the Iron Crown, everything else just fits the color scheme of Dor Amarth so well, even the warsteed. I imagine this to be one of the Black Numenoreans that we see patrolling Barad Dur, heavily armed and armoured to launch an attack against the rangers posted in the ruins of Dingarth. As we portray the good guys in lotro, Harvestmath (Halloween) is the perfect time to dress up like the enemy!
head: Helm of the Threshold, tier 3 raid gear, heavy set

shoulders: Pauldrons of the Threshold, tier 3 raid gear, heavy set

chest: Chestplate of the Threshold, tier 3 raid gear, heavy set

hands: Burglar’s Silk-hide gloves of Deceptive Fortune, black dye, Remmorchant medium gear

legs: Greaves of the Threshold, tier 3 raid gear, heavy set

feet: Sabatons of the Threshold, tier 3 raid gear, heavy set

back: Heavy cloak of the Threshold, tier 3 raid gear, heavy set

warsteed: Steed of the Marauder, lotro store (dark grey coat, black mane and tail; orange tack)

  1. I suspect the new expansion will not provide a lot of cosmetics for my kind of character stories, but this sure is fearsome and very well suited to the Harvestmath time of year. Well done!
