Come home, come home, ye merry folk!
The sun is sinking, and the oak
In gloom has wrapped his feet.
Come home! The shades of evening loom
Beneath the hills, and palely bloom
Night-flowers white and sweet.
This is a poem that Tolkien wrote for the part in the Hobbit where Bilbo’s company reaches Rivendell (page on Tolkien Gateway) and it is indeed around the time of midsummer, with their departure being mid-year’s day. The poem can only be found in the Annotated edition of the Hobbit, from what I understood. In any case, I thought it fitting for a summer themed outfit, featuring the new circlet which looks lovely in a few light colors and… the opposite in darker colors XD vintage gear again works so well with newer pieces and the background too
