Morialque

36860393 Swans are a recurrent theme in Tolkien’s world. The Elven city of Alqualonde in Valinor was called after them (Alqualonde being the Quenya for “Swan Haven”), the Teleri built their prized Swanships in the shape of these birds, and among Men, the princedom of Dol Amroth adopted the Silver Swan on its banner, along with the White Tree of Gondor throughout the Third Age, and the knights of Dol Amroth were called the Swan Knights.
16115252 The Teleri were the last of the three clans to reach Valinor, carried by Ulmo upon the isle of Tol Eressea. They grew fond of the Sea, and Ossë begged Ulmo to set Tol Eressëa in the Bay of Eldamar so the Teleri could always be sourrounded by water. The other Elves however wanted to see their kin again, and Manwë commanded Osse to teach the Teleri the art of ship-making, so that they could freely set sail for the shores of Eldamar. They built ships with the help of Manwe’s swans, and landed on Valinor. Later, on the bay of Eldamar they built their new home Alqualondë, the Swan Haven, dedicated to this magnificent specimen of birds. 17123823 The swans in Tolkien’s world were presumably all of the white species, but what about black swans? In the Lord of The Rings Online, the only place where black swans can be seen is the Rushgore, in the Great River region. It is a foggy swamp covered with tall reeds, during the night the fog, white reeds and the black of sky and water make a beautiful contrast that I tried to reproduce in the outfit, and off course the swan theme. Morialque means Black Swan 😉 Inspiration for this outfit came from this beautiful ensemble by Cosmetic Lotro

  1. Oh the black swans, I had forgotten about them:) I was actually thinking about making an outfit to match the Rushgore and the swans, back when my main was questing there, but I never got around to it, and then forgot it:P. Maybe one day, if I ever get back into the game, I might do something. Your outfit is very nice:)
